International Watermark conference

From July 4 to 6, 2017, in Yekaterinburg, the international Watermark conference on protective technologies and solutions was held.

The general director of Scientific Instruments JSC Vladimir Elokhin made a report at the conference. The topic of the report was "Equipment and technologies for laser personalization of highly secure identification documents". This report was based on the results of joint work with the Research Institute of Goznak. The report was met with great interest.

Scientific and technical aspects of the use of fiber lasers for laser personalization and perforation of new generation identification documents were discussed.

As a result of joint work of Scientific Instruments JSC and the Research Institute of Goznak, a new security element was developed for identification cards containing a transparent window. In this element, it was possible to implement the simultaneous personalization of two views of the document owner – full face and half face.

The developed security elements and methods of their personalization are protected by patents of the Russian Federation and can be used in any new plastic identification documents.
