TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

Purpose


The instrument is designed for quantitative X-ray phase analysis of crystalline substances in automatic mode. It can be used for efficient factory control of technological processes and for non-destructive analysis of raw materials, and of semi-finished and finished products.

Features


The use of a position-sensitive gas-filled detector in Difray-402M makes it possible to get a high-quality diffraction pattern in the range of 43 degrees at once. The positions of the detector and the X-ray tube don’t need to be changed, so the spectrum is acquired in a few minutes. This is very important when carrying out mass analysis at the factory.

Extensive experience in around-the-clock operation of the Difray-402M diffractometers at aluminum factories has shown high reliability of the instrument and of its components. For example, during 15 years of operation there has not been a single failure of an X-ray tube. So, with Difray-402M, the cost of maintenance and repair of the instrument is very low.

The software supplied with the instrument is focused on solving the analytical problems of a particular enterprise. For convenience, the software is divided into two parts: one – for beginners and the other – for advanced users, which makes the use of the diffractometer easier and more efficient.

As an additional option, the Difray-402M diffractometer can be supplied in an instrument rack on wheels, which makes it possible to move the entire analytical set and peripheral devices around the room without disconnecting them from the mains and communication lines.

If necessary, an X-ray fluorescence channel can be installed in the instrument for quantitative analysis of one element (for example, calcium, iron, etc.).
